THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
Lord willing there will be a service opportunity this Saturday, June 22nd from 7:00 a.m. to noon at 202 E Robinson St. in Goodfield. We have begun a fairly extensive remodel on a house for a young woman in need. There will be work for individuals of all skill levels, ranging from pulling nails, cleaning, removing plaster and old plumbing and hvac systems, to framing, and patching floors. This is a great opportunity to put our servant hearts to action and work heartily, as to the Lord. Click-here to sign up if you can come. Please contact Bro. Doug Glueck with any questions.
The Bible class will be leaving on their mission trip to Sunset Gap, TN this Saturday morning. Please be prayerful for them and their travels.
We will have a sending service for Bro. Adam and Sis. Kathy Herrmann during our afternoon service next Sunday, June 23rd. The Herrmanns will be leaving in early July to serve at Gateway Woods.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We are still in need of one class leader/craft helper for Vacation Bible School for 4th/5th grade girls. A class leader/craft helper comes to VBS each night and leads their group as they rotate through three 20 minute stations (Bible/object lesson, snack and craft). Your job is to stay with your class and make sure kids are where they should be at the correct times and to help with craft as needed. 4th/5th grade girls will be tying fleece blankets for OSF. Thanks for considering! We are thankful for the many hands that come together to make this a great week for the kids. Please be prayerful about this opportunity to serve our youth and reach out to Sam or Kristen Rokey with any questions. Vacation Bible School will be July 8-12. Please click-here to see the available slot.
This is a message from Bro. Jacob Wiegand and his fiancé Sis. Libby Schulz:
We have been blessed with so much love from family and friends over the years, but due to large numbers, we are not able to invite everyone to share in our wedding ceremony. We'd still love to have you share in our special day, so please join us for the reception… Sunday, July 14th at the Goodfield Fellowship Hall from 2:30 - 4:30. Please sign up on the sheet at the information center by Sunday, June 30th to let us know if you'll be attending.
Once again it is time to update our Silver Lining list. The Silver Lining is a monthly periodical put out by the national church with updates from each church and many other relevant church related articles. This can also be accessed through AC Central in electronic form. Your subscription to this periodical is paid for out of the general fund and everyone is welcome to receive it. There is a current list in the back hall of everyone who is getting a paper copy now. If you want to go the electronic route instead, please just draw one line through your name. If you don’t receive the SL and would like to, please add your name to the list or see Sis. Judy Knapp or Sis. Amy Hinrichsen. We need this info gathered by tomorrow, June 18th. Thank you!
Sister Makayla Rocke is back from Africa and would like to thank the church for their prayers.
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Proclaim & Serve 2024 missions conference is Saturday, July 13 at Bluffton Church. Everyone is invited to this inspiring and thought-provoking event. You do NOT need to be a missionary or be actively involved in an outreach to attend. ALL are encouraged to come and be inspired, be challenged, and be better equipped to share the gospel. Learn more and register before the July 9 deadline at proclaimandserve.org.
All brothers and sisters throughout the land are encouraged to attend the 2024 General Conference of the Apostolic Christian Church in Peoria on August 9. The theme is “For Such a Time as This.” It will be a wonderful day of worship, fellowship, and learning.
The Conference now has a new format. In addition to the normal pulpit messages and panel discussion, this year attendees can choose from a selection of breakout presentations and small-group discussions with leadership. And we’ll have more fellowship breaks and opportunities to praise God with singing.
In order to provide this new, customized conference experience, attendees must register online in advance at
www.apostolicchristian.org/general-conference. There you can see a detailed agenda for the day with descriptions of all the sessions.
To ensure more people have opportunity to attend, the registration deadline has been extended to July 12.
Our prayer is that this modified conference format will facilitate a strengthening of our bonds of love to each other, to Jesus, and his Word.
THANK YOU NOTE:
