2022 January 2 Announcements
Our collection for the month of January is for the Disaster Relief Fund. This church collection is to provide readily available funds in anticipation of a disaster occurring later in the calendar year. Examples include tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, or other national or local disasters.
Please sign up for our small group Bible study by today so we know how many study books to order. For this study we will be using the book called "Respectable Sins". This 9-week study addresses clusters of specific “acceptable” sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves or have blind spots to such as jealousy, anger, judgmentalism, selfishness, and pride. As the study moves through the scriptures, this study also offers a message of hope in the profound mercy of the gospel and the transforming grace of God as the means to overcome our “respectable sins.”
Click here to sign up to participate in the study. You can specify your preferences as far as when and how you’d like to participate. Even if you plan to do the study on your own, please fill out the form so we can order a book for you. If you have any questions please see Bro. Nate or Sis. Brittany Zeltwanger..
We’d like to invite our church family and friends to an 80th birthday celebration for Sis. Marie Kieser on Tuesday, January 4th. Please join us from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Gathering Room. Contact sisters Rhonda Zeltwanger, Emily Sauder or Melissa Rokey with questions.
Family Hymn Sing will be next Sunday, January 9th at 6:00pm at the Fellowship Hall. There is a sign-up sheet at the message center to bring bars. For questions see sisters Jenise Wiegand or Rita Bauman.
Paper copies of the 2022 church yearly calendar are at the message center. You can also view the calendar on our
church website. Any questions, please contact Sis. Roxy Blunier.
We are starting our roots program again with the Bible class. If you signed up to be an adult encourager for the program you should have received an email with your specific student you were paired with. Please respond back letting us know you received the email. If you signed up to be an adult encourager and did not receive an email for a specific student, the committee will be contacting you soon with another encourager role with other students. Thank you to all who signed up!
If you have any questions please contact any of the committee members:

It’s time for our gas card giving to those who could use a New Year boost. Please contact Sis. Dawn Maloney by text (309) 472-6067 or email (maloney.dawn@gmail.com). Dawn will need the name and address of the recipient. We do not need to know the circumstances of those we send the cards to, anyone who could use a bit of encouragement qualifies. The cards will be mailed early January. We also have cards available throughout the year if someone you know is in need.
Brother Don Bauman had a stroke yesterday evening and is at OSF. They arrived early enough to receive the TPA injection and he seemed to be improved this morning. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Our love, Don and Marj
Bro. James Fehr plans to be with next Sunday afternoon to exhort us on the ministry ballot.
We plan to have ACTIVE this Wednesday evening.
We rejoice with Bro. Nate & Sis. Haley Hartman as they were blessed with a baby girl, Lillian Rae on December 30th.
