THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
As many of you know, our national Statement of Faith has been updated. This multiple year effort by the Elder Body was completed last year and our desire in Goodfield is to teach about and from this new document. This Wednesday night and possibly next Wednesday night we plan to learn about the Statement of Faith by breaking into smaller discussion groups and looking at the Statements more in depth. We will meet in the church sanctuary both nights at regular time-7pm. Children are welcome to come and we will have the option of some of the ACTIVE teachers watching children at the Fellowship Hall. Please sign-up here if you plan to bring your kids to the Fellowship Hall. We look forward to spending time together looking into this important document and God’s Word.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
There are numerous lost and found items in the women’s coat room. Please check it. Whatever is left at the end of April will be taken to Goodwill. Thank you!
2025 church directories are available at the message center. Feel free to take as many as you want. Also, the kitchen committe food groups have been updated and can be found in the back of the church directories as well as hanging at the message center. If you were already in a group, your group number has not changed. If there are any questions, please contact Sis. Roxy Blunier.
There will be a Growing Godly Guys Smoke Out at Bro. Jared Schieber’s shed on Friday, May 2nd. All men and boys 5th grade and over are invited. They are asking for 10 people to bring their smokers. Bro. Mark Rocke’s family plans to bring the main course meat. There will also be opportunity to sign-up to bring appetizers. Please RSVP here. Supper will be at 5:00, but you can show up any time after lunch to start grilling. Please see Bro. Arlen Edelman with any questions.
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
A major wind and hailstorm has caused the need for a new roof on the Apostolic Christian Retirement Village in Sabetha Kansas. After much prayer and consideration, God has directed us to use volunteer labor to replace the roof on the whole facility. It will require 11 semi loads of shingles and many hours of volunteer labor. Lord willing, the “Rooftop Revival” project will begin Sunday evening, May 25th. The projected duration of the project is 5-7 weeks. This project will be patterned after the Winter Rebuilding ministry. Please use the Sign-up Genius link below to inform us of your plans so the local congregations (Bern and Sabetha) can make preparation.

Meals and accommodations will be provided, but we need all volunteers individually to respond via Sign-up Genius. Contact Bro. Barry or Sis. Joyce Kloter with questions.
PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE:
A note from Bro. Sam Moser: thank you to our church for their prayers on my behalf! We are blessed to have appointments with the GI and the hematology teams this coming week at Mayo. The biopsy for the pancreas is planned the first week of May, another praise! Please continue to pray for wisdom and clarity for all of the Dr's and especially the hematology team in determining all things surrounding the Amyloid, it is a big concern as Amyloid's untreated, can shut organs down and may pop up indiscriminately.
REPENTANCE ANNOUNCEMENT:
The angels are rejoicing in that Isabella and Brodie Wettstein have surrendered their hearts to the Lord in repentance. They are the daughter & son of Bro. Curt & Sis. Larisa Wettstein. We are thankful for their surrendered hearts and the gift of salvation.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT:
We rejoice with Bro. Will & Sis. Jamie Rokey as they were blessed with a baby boy, Griffin James born on April 15th.
