2021 November 21 Announcements
Our collection for the month of November is for the Eureka Home.
The funeral for our Sister Loretta Hess will be Monday at 10am with visitation from 9-9:45 prior to the funeral. Both visitation and the funeral will be held at the church. Due to some vulnerabilities in the family, they have asked that masks be worn during the visitation. It is group 2s turn to help and bring food. Here is the link to sign up:

All girls and women in the church in middle school or older are invited to a Women helping Women evening on Thursday, December 2nd at 7:00 at the Gathering Room. If you plan to attend, please sign up at the message center. They will be tying fleece blankets for the Empower Life Center (formerly the Women's Pregnancy Center). In addition to tying blankets, they will be collecting items for the center (click on the link at the bottom of this email to see the full invitation and a list of needed items). You can bring items that evening or to church any Sunday before the event.
Church Christmas Caroling is scheduled for Friday, December 3rd at 6pm. The sign-up sheets for caroling groups and for food items needed for the evening are available at the message center. Please dress warm... many places want us to be outside or in a garage. For any questions please contact Sis. Abby Schick or Sis. Abby Bauman.
Our Sunday School Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 12th during our afternoon service. This is one week later than the date that was listed on the yearly calendar.
The Vision committee met Thursday evening to discuss the comments from the focus groups. There were probably over 200 attendees and the feedback was condensed to 11 pages of thoughts. From these thoughts, 7 primary themes were identified:
1. Singles in the church: Young Group, older singles
2. Mentoring or Discipling
3. Bible Study: deeper dives into the Word
4. Welcoming new attendees to our church
5. Teaching on our practices
6. Reaching our community: Spreading the Gospel and doing good deeds
7. Benefit of the focus groups and open discussion
Our next step is to invite anyone who is interested in one or more of these topics to a more focused discussion on some of these themes. We will be setting dates for these discussions after the first of the year. Thanks to everyone who participated and shared their hearts with love.
