2022 June 12 Announcements
Our collection for the month of June is for Local Area Relief Projects.
The handout for the Spring Memorandum which was covered in afternoon church on Sunday can be found in the announcements email.
There were a few items left at the men’s camp out. They are in the men’s coat room. Please check there if you are missing any items.
The cleaning crew is finding food and food wrappers downstairs...items from the lunchroom. We would really appreciate it if children would stay out of the Sunday school rooms and not have food downstairs. Thanks!!
Thanks to those who have signed up to help with Vacation Bible School coming up July 11th. We still need 17 volunteers for teaching and being class leaders. Please help us fill these spots by this Friday, June 17th. Any questions contact Bro. Bob and Sis. Ashley Schieler. Please
click-here to sign up if you are willing to help in some way.
Goodfield Church is hosting the HarvestCall Proclaim and Serve Conference on July 8 and 9. There are going to be many opportunities to get involved with this event.
1. Most important, please be praying for the event and that God will be glorified.
2. There are pre-addressed envelopes at the message center for anyone wanting to pray for and send a card of encouragement to a speaker. Feel free to take more than one envelope. If you would rather send emails, there is a list of all the speakers and group facilitators along with their email addresses.
3. There are going to be a lot of opportunities for anyone wanting to help. We will need help with ushering, set up and tear down, food, etc. A sign-up list will be going out this week for you to sign up to help.
We are excited to see our whole Goodfield church come together and support this event. If you have any questions, please see Bro. Nate or Sis. Emily Sauder.

This is a topic update that weighs heavy on my heart and I know the hearts of the ACLP department heads.
I have not mentioned our staffing challenges for a bit. In short, they have not left us. ACLP continues to struggle with adequate amount of direct care staff. Our current operations only happen because our current staff continue to over-extend themselves. Meeting with other agency CEOs in Illinois, nursing home administrators, the State Director of DD at DHS and going to any service-oriented business in the community validates that the staffing crisis is broad spread. The reality they express is that many ID/DD agencies are slowly, some quickly, eliminating services. This means these agencies have to displace or terminate services to individuals they serve. This means families who themselves have reached the point they can’t provide for their love one are turned away.
AC LifePoints is NOT at this point but we fully understand that if something doesn’t change we could be faced with similar decisions. I state this not to be alarming and in full acknowledgement that God sees our need and the needs of every individual we serve. A number of weeks back Bro. Ted Witzig Jr ended a service this way … “We know what God can do. We don’t know what He will do. Regardless [we] will trust Him.” And so we make our request known to Him. We wait. And we trust. You have been so faithful in supporting the ministry financially. For this I thank you as these donations relieve a huge burden as our staffing costs have reached all-time highs as we pay critical shift premiums and overtime. Nevertheless, our immediate call to action is for workers to join the ministry. Workers with hearts and hands ready to serve a.k.a. domestic missionaries. Can you clean and do laundry? You’re equipped for our housekeeping/laundry team. Can you cook? Join our kitchen staff. Are you a nurse who is ready for a change from the hospital hustle. A position awaits. I humbly ask that you share our request with your congregations, communities and friends.
Have a blessed week seeking and serving Him.
