MONTHLY COLLECTION: Our collection for the month of October is for Apostolic Christian HarvestCall. This is an outreach arm of the Apostolic Christian Church of America. It is a ministry formed from the merger of the World Relief and Mission Committee. HarvestCall’s purpose is to enable the Apostolic Christian brotherhood to proclaim Christ and serve others beyond the capacity of the local church. Please join us as we strive to alleviate suffering and despair around the world by sharing Jesus through words of truth and deeds of compassion.

Update on Southwest Florida Churches from Bro. Jeff Streitmatter:
· I know many are concerned about our brethren in Sarasota, Fort Myers and the surrounding areas. We have so much appreciated the expressions of love and concern, and the prayers from so many. I will try to share at least some information about both the Fort Myers and Sarasota churches.
· Much of the information I have about Fort Myers is from their local ministers. The Fort Myers church building was not damaged other than the loss of some shingles. That is still preliminary. One home in Fort Myers was destroyed due to fire early Thursday morning. I do not know the cause. Several people have flooded homes and cars. There is limited phone/internet service and so contact with many has been difficult. They believe more information will come in as people return to check on their places. Church service in Fort Myers has been cancelled for this Sunday.
· We are very thankful in Sarasota/Bradenton that we were spared a direct hit. However, the areas in Southern Sarasota County, particularly North Port, suffered major flooding and damage. One of our brethren who lives in North Port had a portion of their roof blown off and approximately two feet of flood waters throughout the house. Throughout Sarasota County there is much debris, flooding, damage due to downed trees, building and roof damage, power as well as cell service, continues to be out throughout many areas of the County. Our church building did not have any damage. We plan to have services this Sunday.
· HarvestCall proactively reached out to us with offers for help. The last few days we have been a bit overwhelmed with recovery operations. We hope to gain better clarity in the days ahead as to the extent of damage and how we can help individuals that have suffered loss.
In His Love
Jeff Streitmatter
